Watched the Japanese version. 1:Watched the Japanese version. Everyone except the blond chick sounded over 60. I don't know anything about the original source material, but sounds like they took the original voice actors from a show that's way too old! 2: Looked cheap. They had actual photos and videos of real life places with a filter placed over the top. Ugly 3D affects, including the water. 3: Roy's pervert act was run into the ground after the first time. But it kept on and on and on and on until right before the last act. How am I supposed to route for a hero when he puts a used bra on his head and constantly tries to grab her? 4: the worst part in my opinion. I was attracted to the movie poster because of the 80's 70's design of the main character. However, when watching the movie, it became clear that aesthetic would stop at who I assume were the original characters. The rest are done in a different style completely. 0 effort for artistic integrity and consistency. It reminded me of the last anime movie I'd watched: the 3D lupin the 3rd. That was a good movie but had the same problem where the romantic interest was clearly designed in an updated style. And then, who should pop up but the guy himself!! There's a Lupin the 3rd cameo! Speak of the devil. I dunno what their connection is, but again, he was in a completely different style, lol. Like seeing Goku pop up in Ghost in the Shell. Anyway. Ja. That's my review.
