Enjoyed this film, twisted but compelling. Some really strong performances, especially the female lead played by Danielle Spisso. Really enjoyed the cinematography as well!
Now I watched this right through - and was more horrified by the minute.... dastardly sick story with no redeeming features at all..... I too wish for a zero to score it with.... what kind of person would write this? Nothing believable or relatable about this.... and not even a hint of light or redemption......
This movie is ok, I personally found it pretty interesting but the ending???!!! Looks like I wasted 1hr 38 min for nothing. There's no real ending, it just ends all of sudden and nothing is solved or explained but instead extremly rushed. That's why I gave it 1 star.
"Morality born out of intimidation is immoral." -- Adam Phillips, British Psychotherapist and literary critic This movie, in a Taliban-isque manner, intimidatingly tries to tell the audience that sex before marriage is a sin that leads to damnation. Having sex turns the innocent 18-year olds into murderers. What a sick and backward logic! Based on Adam Phillips' quote, this movie is immoral to the very core.
Flimsy plot, terrible acting, and a message even the Taliban would have supported. Apparantly somebody's been pumping money into this particular film industry lately, with as a result a pandemic of productions that come across as looking like serious feature films, but the message is still the same as it has always been : yield, or hell awaits !
I started skipping scenes during the excruciating, boring grandfather's monologue and gave up in under 3 minutes. The period was not researched, the acting was abysmal and the story, well I didn't get passed the fact there was going to be a prom... it was too boring and bad to continue. Home projects should only be shown at the home of the makers.
