Summertime Dropouts deserves to be widely seen and loved. This is a genuinely fun and family-friendly film with strong female characters and demonstrates good values without being preachy or schmaltzy. Anyone who's ever bounced around their room listening to Green Day or dreamed of making it as a musician will be able to relate and enjoy this movie. It's sweet, funny, has great music, and it passes the Bechdel test! There's lots of talent on display in the songwriting, performances, style, and I think the director and cast will go on to do even greater things, so see them here first and then look out for more to come!
