Once There Was a Tiger

The trailer is a bit misleading. The movie is showcased as a spy thriller/suspense sort of a movie with little love/romantic angle, so the viewer might expect a lot of action. But it turned out to be a love story and the whole movie revolves around it. Of whatever action there is, its because of two lovers trying to be together and not a spy trying to steal valuable information or anything. Its very well put together, and Katrina has acted well, loved her in this role and she looks like a charm considering she didn't use any makeup for this one. I went with 4 other guys, all of them were disappointed, I wasn't, I cant say its good, nor can say its bad, its a bit above average, hence 6.If the trailer showed Salman holding hands with katrina showing her the stars rather than him shooting people, and the intro line was something like "Two lovers......." rather than "RAW and ISI.............", than people wouldn't have expected so much love/romance and wouldn't be disappointed. People found it slow since love/romance is slow, and a few would also have a problem seeing Salman in a much lighter shade as compared to boastful/salman focused movies like Dabangg/ready/bodyguard. Its definitely a one time watch, if its playing on TV, i'll watch it, not change the channel, it does strike a chord.

When 2 history makers come together, they create a new history. Yes, I am talking about Yash raj films & Salman Khan. Ek tha tiger is a perfectly blended recipe with appropriate proportions of comedy,romance, action & so on. Salman & Katrina chemistry does work. all other actors doing a pretty descent job. Music of this film has some very good tracks where I think movie scores. Also the action sequences are pretty good. But, if you are looking for south Indian typical action sequences in this movie then you will be disappointed. Salman doing very good job as always which can be proved by people in cinema hall cheering on appearances of him. Still I think a lot could have done with this movie considering its story line. although the movie keeps audiences glued, you feel somethings missing while watching, otherwise its a very good movie to watch. So I am going with 4/5 for Yash Raj's Ek tha tiger.

Ek Tha Tiger, terrific action packed thriller with a romantic touch. Delicate romance is sandwiched between the hardcore loafs of action and thrill. Salman, well no words for him, he was at his original best. He did some extreme fight sequences and made them look nonchalant. He was looking raw and rugged. But the pleasing surprise was the Tigress..Katrina. She conjured up with some athletic fight sequences which were done so perfectly that no other actress wouldn't have done anything better than her. Katrina's foreign 'jeans' did help her in her action sequences. At no point did she looked delicate and awkward while doing it, which one can associate with bollywood actress of Indian origin. 'Ek the Kat' wouldn't have been a bad name either. Even her acting skills much improved than before. She was looking a bit plump in the movie but beautiful nevertheless. Nothing much can be said about the story though. This is the story of a spy named Tiger from Indian Intelligence agency RAW who met Zoya during a mission in Dublin while spying a professor. She was the caretaker of the professor who later turn out to be a ISI agent. Tiger fell in love with her despite her being Pakistani agent. Later he ran away with her for the sake of love, both of then damning their respective agency. The rest of the movie is about their struggle in running away from the agencies and at last they were able to dodge them forever. The theme of the movie is romance topped with some breath taking action sequences. The director Kabir Khan did a great job, he never tried to make it a technical James Bond movie which is neither the forte of bollywood nor the taste of our audience. The chemistry of Salman-Katrine really did wonders for the movie. They complemented each other in romantic as well as the action scenes despite their first film in three years after Yuvraj. Katrina was bargaining for a 100 cr movie and she is well on her way...

Salman Mania... Salman's charisma... Salman's screen presence... oh wait.. there is our beautiful KAT too. First things first, Movie is not about some James Bond style trilling missions or turn-around. The movie is about a spy who falls in love with another SPY of an arch-rival country(Pakistan). So please don't go for a BOURNE series type of plot or a JAMES BOND style storyline. Instead, go for SAL-MAN. And his lady, KATRINA. And of course, the ACTION is fantastic. The on-screen chemistry is awesome between the couple. The songs are good. The story is good, for a change(and not like a south-Indian remake).Phew... The best thing about this film is that it leaves you wanting for more in the end..(yes, there is a scope for a second part, which i think will happen for sure) considering the amount of success this movie would garner at the Indian box-office. Final word:- Go for it, and look at it from an entertainment perspective. You will fall in love with the film. Full marks to Salman and Katrina.

The term well made is rarely used when it comes to Salman Khan movies, perhaps because his primary aim has always been to entertain, at pretty much any cost. However, this change is a welcome one! Hopefully he'll continue to select films with good scripts that do justice to his image. Salman is all his fans would expect in this film, and more. He's multi-layered. This is perhaps the first time since Dabangg that his character development has been good and interesting. Katrina has come forward in leaps and bounds. It's remarkable that, at first, she could speak Hindi very well at all, and now she's injecting personality into her characters quite effortlessly. The supporting cast is good.Veteran Girish Karnad does well, as does Ranvir Shorey, who's quite brilliant (and very funny!) actually. Loved the album. A few people said it could of been better but 2 tracks are amazing and one is good, so I'm not complaining. Overall, it's a Hollywood-style action film with Indian elements such as a strong romance, but also nice additions like humour. Entertainment is what you want and it's what you get. You may be persuaded into the Salman fan club after seeing this. I certainly was!

EH THA TIGER ..... Its a pure romantic action packed film which was above my expectations. its not only a Salmon khan movie but a SALLU-KAT movie .Brilliant work by Katrina Kai and for Salmon no words .Unlike salmons other movie , here there is a story which everyone will feel .Loved the direction and the tigers theme background music suited in the film .You will love not only Salmon but even Katrina after all she balanced her character in the movie.Excellent action , brilliant background and a pure packet of enjoyment . You will like the small bunch of comedy non-evenly in the film. Overall its a film about the line LOVE HAS NO LIMITS ~~! EK THA TIGER ........AT ITS BEST!! WORTH WATCHING ....LOVED IT !!
