Around India with a Movie Camera

What can i say. I am a sucker for anything that is related to showing clips of india and its people 100 years ago of showing the culture and diversity . It also shows clips of some MOVEMENTS by our respected bapu GANDHI and other great leaders on its ways to snatch the freedom from colonian British empire. This movie just showed how the british had all the grace , dignity and joy at the cost of the belittling indians and stealing the golden india with imposing their made up duties and taxes that were so high that upto 90 percent of production of a farmer were taken. So many things that i read in our history class started to connect with each other with the help of these pictures. Speaking of thieving and loot , Shashi tharoor's great lecture comes to mind where he had roasted the british at oxford " NO WONDER THE SUN NEVER SETS IN BRITAIN CAUSE EVEN THE GOD COULDN'T TRUST THE ENGLISH IN THE DARK " . I know what the British did was a long time ago but man , i don't think i can live if in my lifetime i didn't even get to yell at one British citizen and he wouldn't have to do anything , just must give his complete silence without him replying or apologizing or fighting . Making him/them feel so small ,even if its only for a moment , that our millions of ancestors felt when their oppression was at a high. Again i have no quarrel with present day UK and its beautiful citizen. But i want a commemoration hall or museum or any kind of thing that shows how british oppression started in great india , how we could have been the only leading nation in today's age ( instead of USA ) and that their british ancestors were responsible for india remaining in backward position in global ranking in some areas for more than 30-40 years ( before LPG and 2007-2007)and the heinous atrocities that thay practiced only in the name of making india a "behaved nation" . We indians want an official apology with signed letter from present queen and all the royal houses that exist today and they don't have to pay a single penny because no amount of money can really match their hostile actions and behavior against indian (except of course the KOHINOOR ,we will take it one day) If you are an Indian my recommendation is that watch this and know how you and your country was made. And if you are not , then it would also be an inspiration for you that how india overcame the backwardness from then colonian state to today's one of the world leading nation with extreme power .
