Well, the 2020 movie "Going 4 Broke" states on its synopsis "In this hilarious comedy..." which leads me to wonder if I was watching the same movie as whomever wrote the synopsis on the back of the cover. Because this movie was anything but hilarious. Words like pointless, amateurish and boring comes to mind. The storyline told in "Going 4 Broke" was pretty straight forward, but it just wasn't a storyline that had much entertainment value to me, and little did it help that the acting in the movie was shoddy and questionable at best, and the characters were flat and uninspiring and the dialogue they delivered was atrocious. I was appalled by the amazing level of poor and incorrect English used in the dialogue in this movie. I can't claim to be familiar with the cast ensemble that appeared in this movie, but I weren't impressed with what I saw on the screen. I think I was not within the target audience for the enjoyment - if any - were to be had from "Going 4 Broke", yet I managed to sit through the entire ordeal. However, I can in all honesty say that this is not an impressive movie, and for a comedy it was horribly devoid of anything funny. My rating of "Going 4 Broke" settles on a mere, but generous, two out of ten stars.
I had to leave a review this film was a funny film ,the cast did pretty good !! that neighbor was too funny , I hope somebody make a sitcom on these two. they really have sold me on their characters . I wanna see more of them.
Tracy (Alyze Elyse) are her husband Seven (Steve Parker ) are both out of work as the repo man is working overtime. They try to hide their situation from their nosy neighbor not named Gladys Kravitz. They get an opportunity to make money illegally and take it. The comedy was poorly written. The acting was various degrees of bad. Sometimes laughably bad. Guide: F-word. No sex or nudity.
With COVID making people crazy this film was exactly what many needed . But check it out for yourself different strokes for different folks . I honestly enjoyed this independent film.
