The Swarm

First of all, the concept of eating bugs was the creepy part of this whole movie, but hey, I'm from the USA and we don't eat them as a normal rule, we kill them. Eating bugs, however, became a lesser of two evils as this pathetic movie progressed. In what universe is it okay to feed insects BLOOD? If this isn't bad enough, how about offering a Fido on the sacrificial altar of "I Want My Business to Succeed"? Already any sympathy for the main character was lost on me. Then we have the bratty daughter who can't stand being an object of ridicule by her classmates because of her mom's unusual business venture - and rightly so- but proceeds in a bratty fashion to release a group of the locusts on an unsuspecting population. Mom is angry but buys her a scooter? I believe in an almost perfect movie, Mom would've made her the next blood offering. But in a PERFECT movie, Mom and girl would have both been locust fodder. Don't waste time on this one- no twisted ending, and a mediocre storyline.
