في جو تشويقي تدور الأحداث حول الطائرة (داستي) طائرة رش المحاصيل المتواضعة، تحلم بأن تشارك في سباق طائرات شهير للغاية. المشكلة تتلخص في أن داستي يخاف من الارتفاعات، فهو صاحب فوبيا حقيقية من الأماكن المرتفعة؛ لكن مع دعم ومؤازرة من المعلم الناصح سكيبر، ومجموعة من الأصدقاء الجدد، ينطلق داستي إلى أعلى الآفاق لتحقيق أحلامه.

People ALWAYS overthink things ESPECIALLY films, heres a perfect example. 1st off its NOT a cars spin off you morons, that was cars this is PLANES!! The main, no wait the ONLY thing a movie has to do is ENTERTAIN and sorry Charlie this movie is extremely entertaining. We all love it and the 3d bluray is fantastic so ignore the haters, dont compare it to anything and rate it based on 1 thing was it entertaining. A solid 8.5 thus the 9!!
