تدور أحداث الفيلم حول أوزي، التي تفقد والديها بسبب تدمير الغابة، فتتبناها محمية طبيعية وتتعلم لغة الإشارة للتواصل، ومع الوقت، تصبح أوزي نجمة على وسائل التواصل الاجتماعي، وتبدأ في جذب الأنظار إلى قضايا البيئة. وعندما تكتشف أن والديها قد يكونان على قيد الحياة، تنطلق في مغامرة للبحث عنهما وتحذير العالم من التهديدات التي تواجه الغابات المطيرة.
