في العصر الجليدي، تدور قصة عن أفضل صداقة نشأت بين الإنسان والحيوان، فحينما ينفصل شاب عن قبيلته أثناء اصطياد الجاموس، اعتقادًا منهم أنه فارق الحياة، يتعرف على أحد الذئاب بعد مهاجمته وإصابته، ويبدأ في علاجه وتقديم الطعام له، فيصبحا حلفاء وتبدأ بينهما صداقة من شأنها أن تغير البشرية.
