Is Shakur Stevenson vs Manny Pacquiao the right fight for boxing? With Tyson Fury vs Anthony Joshua scheduled for December 11 at Principality Stadium in Cardiff, live on Netflix, a potential Stevenson–Pacquiao fight has created a very different conversation. Commercially, the logic is obvious. Pacquiao is a global icon, Shakur is an undefeated four-division world champion, and the fight could give Stevenson huge exposure to a wider casual audience — along with a potentially lucrative payday. But from a boxing purist's perspective, what does it actually accomplish? There's no existing rivalry, no unfinished business and no mandatory title obligation driving the matchup. Meanwhile, fans have been waiting to see what Shakur's move to Zuffa Boxing could produce, particularly potential fights with Devin Haney, Tank Davis, Ryan Garcia and Gary Antuanne Russell. With the WBO mandatory situation involving Raymond Muratalla also developing, is Pacquiao vs Stevenson about progressing boxing — or simply creating another massive commercial event? In this video, I compare the two fights and explain why Fury vs Joshua feels like a fight with history and something to settle, while Pacquiao vs Stevenson feels much more commercially driven. Would you rather see Shakur fight Pacquiao, or face one of the elite fighters from his own generation? #ShakurStevenson #MannyPacquiao #FuryJoshua #Boxing #Netflix #ZuffaBoxing -------------------- ╔═╦╗╔╦╗╔═╦═╦╦╦╦╗╔═╗ ║╚╣║║║╚╣╚╣╔╣╔╣║╚╣═╣ ╠╗║╚╝║║╠╗║╚╣║║║║║═╣ ╚═╩══╩═╩═╩═╩╝╚╩═╩═╝ to the channel people 00:00 Intro 2:45 Round 1 5:15 Round 2 7:25 Round 3 9:35 Round 4 -------------------- Follow me insta @charlessalbox facebook @charlessalbox #boxing #usaboxing #boxeocubano #canelo
