Deontay Wilder and Andy Ruiz Jr were once two of the biggest names in the heavyweight division. Wilder was the terrifying WBC heavyweight champion with a right hand that could end any fight in a single moment, while Ruiz shocked the world by stopping Anthony Joshua and becoming heavyweight champion overnight. But after reaching the top, both men suffered brutal declines. Wilder’s aura was damaged across his trilogy with Tyson Fury, including the night his own corner threw in the towel in the seventh round. Ruiz, meanwhile, lost his titles in the Joshua rematch after coming in heavier, slower, and unable to close the distance. From Wilder’s crushing losses to Fury, Parker, and Zhang, to Ruiz struggling through fights against Arreola, Ortiz, Miller, and Knyba, both former champions have watched their stock fall hard. Wilder was once fighting to rule the division, but after three losses in four fights, he was simply fighting to keep his name alive. Ruiz also struggled to recapture his old form, with reports suggesting his Ortiz pay-per-view performed poorly and his momentum had badly faded. So between Deontay Wilder and Andy Ruiz Jr, who had the deeper fall? From champions to forgotten… this is the decline of two heavyweight kings. #Boxing #FightStory #DeontayWilder #AndyRuizJr #WilderRuiz #HeavyweightBoxing #BoxingDocumentary #TysonFury #AnthonyJoshua #WilderFury #RuizJoshua #BoxingHistory #BoxingNews #FightBreakdown #HeavyweightChampion
