Million Dollar Mania was a ploy by Vince McMahon and the WWE to increase viewership on WWE Raw. This isn't speculation; McMahon fully admitted this when he began handing out money from his own personal bank account. Million Dollar Mania took place over 3 weeks. Every week $1mil was given away to viewers who watched Raw and who could also give McMahon the special password for the week. The segments brought the action on Raw to a screeching halt, Vince struggled to dial phone numbers, and one particular hero even Rick Roll'd Vince on night 1. It all ended with Vince shouting "Paul, I can't feel my legs!" which is all you need to know really. A WWE Atrocity indeed.
