The story of Hantsuki focuses on the budding relationship between the seventeen year old Yuichi Ezaki and Rika Akiba. They are hospitalized in Yuichi's home town for their conditions. Yuichi has hepatitis A, while Rika has problems with a weak heart valve. These teens then fall in love while they spend time with one another.

Y'know with the likes of Fault of our stars, Clannad after story and Romeo & Juliet, you think this anime would be related to them because Ezaki and Reki were very sick. However when both of them got better in the end and the fact they became a couple, made me have a sigh of relief with a big huge weight of my shoulders! Seriously I was expecting the worse heartbreakimg result possible with this anime but thankfully, I was wrong after all! Even though the nurse and doctor in this were pretty much a holes and really irritating, they still were likeable because they do care about the kids. I certainly wouldn't be in that kind of hospital if there were doctors who are abusive towards their patients! Very good anime with laughs, romance and full of emotions! I give this a 8/10!
