While the first sequel was more of the same, Showdown was originally intended to reboot the series with better graphics, a tightened-up gameplay experience and a brand new expanded single player mode (which didn't get fully developed in the end). Showdown featured a great roster with superstars including Sting, Ultimate Warrior, Hulk Hogan, Diamond Dallas Page and Bret "Hitman" Hart.
