On May 21, 2017, at the Ariake Coliseum in Tokyo, Japan, Naoya “The Monster” Inoue returned to defend his WBO Super Flyweight Title against American challenger Ricardo Rodriguez. Fans expected fireworks — and Inoue didn’t disappoint. From the opening bell, Inoue was in full control, but this time he showed a new trick: he switched to southpaw mid-fight just to make things interesting. Rodriguez, tough and determined, tried to press forward, but Inoue’s power and timing were on another level. In round three, a crushing left hand sent Rodriguez down — and that was all she wrote. A statement win, delivered with style and a touch of swagger. 📍 Date: May 21, 2017 📍 Location: Ariake Coliseum, Tokyo, Japan 🏆 Result: Inoue wins by 3rd-round KO 🏆 Title on the line: WBO Super Flyweight Championship 🔥 Inoue didn’t just win — he switched stances, switched gears, and reminded the world why they call him “The Monster.” Southpaw or orthodox, it didn’t matter — Rodriguez was cooked either way. -------------------- ╔═╦╗╔╦╗╔═╦═╦╦╦╦╗╔═╗ ║╚╣║║║╚╣╚╣╔╣╔╣║╚╣═╣ ╠╗║╚╝║║╠╗║╚╣║║║║║═╣ ╚═╩══╩═╩═╩═╩╝╚╩═╩═╝ to the channel people 00:00 Intro 4:55 Round 1 7:36 Round 2 10:14 Round 3 10:40 Knockdowns -------------------- Follow me insta @charlessalbox facebook @charlessalbox #boxing #usaboxing #井上尚弥 #boxeocubano #naoyainoue
