Ok guys, yesterday we had an entertaining Super Bantamweight spectacle from Naoya Inoue and Luis Nery. A sixth-round TKO from Inoue, following moments where knockdowns were achieved by both Nery and Inoue in the 1st and then the 2nd and 5th rounds, respectively. In the 3rd and 4th rounds, Inoue began to establish a foothold in the fight and set himself apart from Nery in the way we expected him to do so. This momentum carried over into the fifth round where Inoue cemented his dominance with another knockdown and finally in the sixth round Inoue knocked Nery down and the ref waved off the fight for a TKO victory. As the bell rang for the first round Naoya Inoue appeared more focused on landing hard and fast than easing into the fight and understanding his opponent. His approach was unfiltered and everything was about power. Nery answered the call and met fire with fire. He pressed forward at times and contested for who would impose themselves first.
