Ingredients for RED VELVET CAKE ------------------------ 2 Cup Flour 1 & 2/3 cup Sugar 1 Cup Buttermilk 1 Teaspoon Baking Soda 1 Teaspoon Baking Powder 1 Teaspoon Salt 2 Tablespoon Cocoa Powder 1/2 Cup Vegetable Oil 1/2 Cup Melted butter 1 Teaspoon Vinegar 1 Teaspoon Red Food Colour (powder) 2 Eggs 2 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract FOR BUTTERMILK Measurements 1 Cup Milk 1 Tablespoon Vinegar/ Lemon Juice BUTTER ICING MEASUREMENTS 250g Margarine (1 pack) 500g Icing Sugar (1 pack) 1 Tablespoon Milk 1 Teaspoon Vanilla extract Note: to measure 2/3 cup, use your 1/3 cup twice If you are using liquid Red food coloring.. use 2-3 tbspn instead of 1 Tspn.
