George Ezra's #Shotgun is such a hit with our older learners, we've done it as a #Makaton #CarPark #Karaoke for you! So a few notes on signing - there's no real Makaton sign for the 'shotgun' concept - ie. the person sitting next to the driver, so we've signed CAR and then used the SIT sign but placed it to the left of ourselves to indicate the person sitting next to us. Likewise, we've indicated placement of TO SIT with the line ' We've got two in the front, two in the back'. Also HOT - we are talking about the sun being hot, so have used the hot objects/surfaces version (just like Makaton do for the hot sun in Hungry Caterpillar), it's not just referring to hot food. The HOT sign across your forehead is for when you are feeling hot yourself. The lyrics are pretty pacey so we've tried to simplify as much as possible! Enjoy.
