Tottenham boss Thomas Frank’s strong defence of captain Cristian Romero after his avoidable red card in their 2-0 defeat to Manchester United at Old Trafford. Timestamps 00:00 Intro 00:14 Good first thirty minutes 00:40 Proud of the performance with ten men 00:54 It is a red card, Cuti clearly goes to the ball 01:16 He’s not had that many red cards throughout his career 01:38 Most red cards in PL since he arrived? Okay, I didn’t know 01:48 Assess Udogie tomorrow 02:10 No regret making him captain, he’s one of our most important players 02:55 He had no intention to get a red card 03:10 Not considering taking the armband from him 03:25 The players show a lot of resilience 03:42 Can’t run away from it, we haven’t won enough in the PL 04:18 No alternative than to keep going 04:32 Stand up face it and keep going, that’s what the players are doing 04:54 It would’ve been so easy to crumble, so easy to lose 5-0 05:17 Haven’t spoke specifically with Romero, he apologised to the team, that’s enough for me @HaytersTV – Football Up Close.
