Le bon, la brute et le cinglé

While this Korean "western" was certainly quick-paced, maintaining a high standard of high-strung action, it ultimately lacked depth in plot and character development. Given how shallow the movie is, the 2 hour plus runtime does not do it a favor- I believe the film would've scored much higher if it cut down to an hour and half. A fun film with very impressive and sometimes very funny scenes nonetheless- it just lacks the profundity of a film worth watching again. Strong 3 to a light 4.

There are so many GREAT KOREAN MOVIES. The ones with good drama, good cinematography, good actions, good wiritings, all combines. But this one, falls to a weird category of trying to make a cowboy movie + try to be funny. It FAILS. Too many unnecessary scenes (such as the chase in the desert), and a few strong characterization nor the drama.

Loved this movie, was great fun, starring one of my favorite Korean actors, the awesome Kang-Ho Song 'Parasite', 'Snow Piercer' and 'A Taxi Driver' (not to be confused with Robert De Niro's 'Taxi Driver'). This movie has it all!!. If your a fan of fun action movies or Korean movies it's a must see.

The plot is interesting enough but the characters themselves feel hollow. It makes for an entertaining action movie but don't expect any character development or the like.

Fun aplenty but even more .... If Western action thrills you'll enjoy "The Good, The Bad, The Wierd" a lot. If you lo also grew up on the American Western and love the movies, there is something even more here. Director Jee-won-Kim is certainly a technical master of action and of story but he also has created equal parts homage and love letter to the medium of film itself. There are simply too many references to all that we love in the movies to mention here , suffice to say "Thank you Sir" for pop art at its most eye and ear bathing best! What fun!

I have seen the movie on the way from Istanbul to Singapore and Taiwan. During my trip I had a chance to watch the movie three times. On the plane I watched the shorter version, I think it is similar to the one shown on Festivals. And from Internet I had a chance to watch the longer version. I am waiting for the 3 Disk DVD release of the movie. I recommend the movie to anyone who likes spaghetti western and some fun at the same time. It is the first major film I liked besides the Hollywood and Yesilcam (Turkey). It is nice to see more alternatives to the Hollywood movies. Additional Comments: I prefer movies with less computer affects and this one looked more natural than the last Bond movie I watched, I think in the near future the Bond movies will be a simple Computer Game (For the action scenes).
