Sun Tzu had once said "Every battle is won before it's ever fought.” This is exactly what Muhammad Ali did to George Foreman. He beat him before the battle had even begun. This was one of Muhammad Ali's greatest tricks, he understood the power of the mind, the power of words, and applied this understanding to not only become the greatest boxer of all time, but to change the world throughout that process. Script: "Incivility boosts effort in competition but harms effort in cooperation. Targets of trash-talking are more likely to cheat and exhibit lower creativity. What does this mean? Foreman depicted it perfectly... He had a boost in effort, but simultaneously, he lost his ability to adapt to what was happening. He had too much faith in his power, not enough sense for what Muhammad Ali was planning. The result? Caught up in feelings of rivalry, Muhammad Ali absorbed all of George Foreman's power leaning against the ropes, Rope a dope... From there... Ali had won... Powerful punchers expend more energy as a trade for their power... Muhammad Ali had baited George Foreman into the worst place he possibly could've been... Exhausted before a shark who still had all his breath... The fight... It was fated to end the moment Ali got into George Foreman's head."
