On September 14, 2013, at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, boxing fans got a generational clash between the unbeaten defensive genius Floyd Mayweather and the young mexican powerhouse Canelo Alvarez. This was a contest to prove Pound 4 Pound status. This clash was a complete masterclass showing how the wiser experienced older generation can deal with the faster energetic younger generation. Mayweather was the professor, Canelo the student, and the lesson was rhythm, timing and deception. Floyd slipped, countered, and jabbed his way to a majority decision win, improving to 45–0. Canelo had moments, but most of the night he was swinging at shadows. 📅 Date: September 14, 2013 📍 Location: MGM Grand, Las Vegas 🏆 Titles: WBA, WBC, The Ring Super Welterweight 💥 Result: Mayweather wins by Majority Decision 🔥 Leave thoughts and opinions down below now that Mayweather is set to take on Pacquiao in a rematch scheduled for Sept 2026. -------------------- ╔═╦╗╔╦╗╔═╦═╦╦╦╦╗╔═╗ ║╚╣║║║╚╣╚╣╔╣╔╣║╚╣═╣ ╠╗║╚╝║║╠╗║╚╣║║║║║═╣ ╚═╩══╩═╩═╩═╩╝╚╩═╩═╝ to the channel people 00:00 Intro 01:35 Round 1 02:40 Round 2 03:55 Round 3 05:08 Round 4 -------------------- Follow me insta @charlessalbox facebook @charlessalbox #boxing #usaboxing #mayweather #canelo
