Fabio Wardley vs Daniel Dubois: The Fight That Turned Around Fabio Wardley vs Daniel Dubois was one of the most dramatic heavyweight title fights of 2026. In their first fight in Manchester, Wardley dropped Dubois twice early—but Dubois recovered, changed the rhythm with his jab, and stopped Wardley in the 11th round to win the WBO heavyweight title. This boxing documentary breaks down the first Wardley vs Dubois fight, from the opening right hand to the late-round pressure that changed the outcome. We look at why Wardley’s explosive start worked, how Dubois steadied himself after two knockdowns, and how straight punches and a disciplined jab helped him take control. Rather than simply replaying the biggest punches, this film explains the tactical shifts that made the fight so compelling. A knockdown can change a round in seconds, but a long heavyweight fight is also about distance, balance, recovery, and whether a fighter can keep defending under pressure. This video covers the first fight on 9 May 2026 at Co-op Live in Manchester—not the October rematch. The first bout ended when referee Howard Foster stopped the contest at 0:28 of Round 11. Dubois was declared the winner by technical knockout and claimed the WBO heavyweight title. The documentary uses original narration and sourced fight facts.
