On November 16, 2024, Oscar Duarte defeated Batyr Akhmedov by unanimous decision in a 10-round super lightweight bout at The Venue in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Duarte controlled a very competitive and high-tempo fight with heavier and cleaner punches in the later rounds, while Akhmedov stayed active and pressured throughout, but Duarte’s stronger finishing and damage earned him the win on all three scorecards (98–92, 97–93, 96–94).
