The Expendables 2 is a fantastic action flick! Its explosive opening sets the tone, but the close calls make you question the crew's invincibility, especially when Billy the Kid, a young Afghanistan veteran with PTSD, gets killed. Van Damme's Jean Vilain, a French psychopath with a goat tattoo, is a hilariously over-the-top villain. 🤡 Gunnar Jensen is my favorite. Still a nutcase but less angry, surprisingly a chemical engineering graduate, and throwing one-liners like he's the Hulk 🤣. The star-studded cast feels natural. Trench (Arnold Schwarzenegger) and Church (Bruce Willis) join the action, Maggie is a badass who somehow knows everything, and Booker (Chuck Norris) casually kills goons without even flinching, using one as a human shield. 👀 It's about as perfect as an action-hero team-up gets. Shame Yin Yang (Jet Li) barely appears. 😔
