I took a visit to Windmill Amateur Boxing Gym to get an insight into the club's roots and how they function as a key community hub, operating within a low income, high crime area on the outskirts of Birmingham. Whilst producing national champions and giving youngsters the opportunity to explore their boxing potential, Windmill Boxing Team also provides a safe space to steer youngsters away from the wrong crowd and helps them develop discipline and focus.
