البارونة (كارين) التي تعيش في الدنمارك، مع زوج عبثي خائن، تحاول بشتى الطرق أن تحبه وتأقلمه على الاستقرار، ولكنها لا تفلح، في رحلة لها إلى أفريقيا تقابل الصياد (ديني فينش) الذي هو معجب ويحب حياته في أفريقيا ولا يريد أبدا الخروج منها والذهاب لأوروبا، تشعر بالانجذاب نحوه، ولكن هناك عديدا من العوائق وأهمها عدم رغبته في الخروج من أفريقيا، وحبه لها.
