Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf warned on Monday that Washington is "running out of cards" in a rapidly escalating economic and energy standoff. In a post on X, Qalibaf presented a strategic "equation" comparing Iran’s supply leverage—including the Strait of Hormuz and the Bab el-Mandeb—against U.S. demand-side tools like strategic petroleum reserve (SPR) releases and "demand destruction." The Speaker noted that while the U.S. has already deployed its primary levers, Iran’s most potent options, particularly regarding regional pipelines and the Red Sea chokepoint, remain "unplayed." The warning comes at a critical juncture as the U.S. enters peak summer driving season, with Tehran suggesting that American consumers will bear the brunt of any further escalation through record-high fuel prices and potential supply shortages. #iran #oilwar #energycrisis #straitofhormuz #breakingnews #geopolitics #gasprices #uspolitics #qalibaf #globaleconomy In this Times Now World News report, we break down the this topic: Stay connected with Times Now World for real-time global news and analysis: 🌐 Read full coverage: https://www.timesnownews.com/world 📱 Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/timesnow.world 🐦 Follow us on X: https://x.com/TimesNow_World #TimesNowWorld #WorldNews #BreakingNews
