This is one of the biggest debates in Indian BGMI: who should be Team India's IGL at the Esports Nations Cup 2026 - Team Soul's Nakul or Orangutan's Aaru? We decide it on facts, not fanbase, comparing both captains across every major official tournament since Nakul took over Soul. The journey: BGMS 2025 (Nakul's first as full-time IGL) - Soul 3rd, Orangutan 7th, but identical 53 finishes each. BMSD 2025 - Aaru answers with Orangutan's first big title and PMGC qualification, though Nakul out-fragged him 25 to 14. BMIC 2025 - both average internationally (Soul 9th, OG 10th), but Nakul dominates individually 23 to 5. Then BGIS 2026 - Nakul's masterclass, Soul champions, Best IGL award, cementing his case. And BMPS 2026 - the complete reversal: Soul collapse to 13th and lose the EWC slot, while Aaru's final-day comeback drives Orangutan to 6th and Paris, out-fragging Nakul 14 to 6 in the Grand Finals. The deeper pattern: Nakul's fragging was elite early but declined as IGL pressure grew, while Aaru's two-plus years of leadership, international experience (PMGC, now EWC) and comeback ability stand out. The video breaks down their leadership philosophies - Nakul's domination vs Aaru's consistency - and lands on a verdict: for a mixed Team India where adaptability and managing star personalities matter most, the pick leans Aaru on experience and pressure-comebacks, though Nakul remains an equally strong option for a domination-based system.
