For a beginner, the third stage of learning involves moving beyond basic movement and skill casting to understand strategic positioning on the map: Lane Structure: The map is divided into three main lanes: Top, Middle, and Bottom. Mid Lane: Usually occupied by a single ranged or magic-based hero (Mage) who can rotate quickly to assist other lanes. Side Lanes: Typically consist of a fighter or marksman paired with a tank or support. The River Boundary: The middle of the map is the river. For beginners, crossing this halfway point alone is considered "overextended" and puts you at risk of being ambushed (ganked). Safe Retreats: Players are taught to retreat to their base or under their own defensive towers before their health becomes critically low.
