How do you land combinations against a relentless pressure fighter without getting dragged into an exchange? In this breakdown of Chingiz Allazov vs Marat Grigorian, I look at how Allazov used stretegic footwork and a fast combination rhythm to overwhelm to keep Grigorian defending and stop him from building his usual pressure. Rather than trying to make every shot damaging, Chingiz often used the first punches to occupy the guard, interrupt Grigorian’s offence and create openings for the more meaningful attacks that followed. We’ll also look at how Allazov timed Grigorian’s forward steps, attacked before he could properly set his feet, and used offence as a form of control. Against one of kickboxing’s best pressure fighters, the goal wasn’t just to land — it was to make Grigorian react.
