For this feature-length documentary Michael Dillon revisits his award-winner From the Ocean to the Sky, about Edmund Hillary's Ganges jet boat expedition. Back in 1977, Dillon filmed Hillary and crew (including son Peter Hillary) as they jet boated from the mouth of the Ganges to the base of the Himalayas, then set out to climb peak Akash Parbat. Dillon has remastered existing and unseen footage, and interviewed crew members about Hillary's last big expedition.

I'm a 29 year old Bulgarian on a binge for over a month of watching all kinds of documentaries. I was hesitant seeing this documentary had been rated only 60 times, but I decided to give it a try and I couldn't have been more wrong. It's a great documentary about the amazing adventure of Sir Edmung Hillary and his friends that were part of an expedition traveling by jet boats upstream the holy river Ganges. While recounting their perilous journey we get a great glimpse of the Indian people, culture and hospitality. This documentary is a sort pilgrimage on whichyou are taken on as part of the crew doing it. It has a really powerful ending as well.
