Such a nice movie. The storyline is so interesting and is definitely different from the space movies I have see. The music or any other part did not stand out, in a way that helps, that we could enjoy the movie as a whole without having to judge the soundtrack. The acting was nice that I never felt as "bad". The child actors did a good job. The plot is interesting and would suggest for a kid, but I watched as an adult of course and it didn't bother me that I'm not a child. The visuals are another part where everything is so nicely done. There are no bad vfx or anything. I really like the idea of them(makers) not pushing hard on a certain department , not making too visually attractive or not same with soundtracks. There is good standard for the movie and it blends in so well. Happy watching!.
(Some spoilers) I like this movie. Although I'm not a professional movie watcher, but I saw some high concept Sci-Fi movies, for example, some time-travel stories or about space travel. And this is one I would like to add to my Sci-Fi list. As the trailer shows, you can see it's about several teenagers who want to go for a moon adventure. So don't expect there're something like accidental galaxy level battle, or unexpected cruel alien species attack. It's about 5 teenagers' moon trip. However, the ending would surprise you that it's not just an aimless action. They may did it for fun and curiosity, but eventually it means a lot. This movie reminds me of many famous Sci-Fi movies, such as Vanilla Sky, Interstellar, Passengers. And also, maybe it's just like the space version of "Stand by me". (In my opinion.) Since this movie is for Disney Plus, and leading actors are teenagers, you can consider it's for family. However, I can imagine a wonderful situation that if I can see this movie with my family. And the children in the family members enjoy the mysterious moon trip story part. But in the end, I would be shock that maybe this movie is not only for them, but also for me. It's for an adult with memories, did choices, or maybe sometimes had some regrets. The plot twist would let you think about the solitude of being a human in this universe. PS. McKenna Grace is brilliant in this movie. Looks like after "Afterlife", you have kept acting in creative Sci-Fi movies!...
