Elise Robinson was eight years old when she was diagnosed with osteosarcoma, a type of bone cancer. Elise’s mom, Jennifer, shares their family’s cancer journey and experience with MD Anderson Cancer Center. Elise had an innovative rare surgery at MD Anderson. Patience. That's Dixie Frantz's main advice for anyone undergoing cancer treatment. Dixie's husband Rick was diagnosed with stage IV kidney cancer. There was a large tumor on his left kidney and smaller tumors in both lungs, liver, chest area and several areas in the bone. Rick received his treatment at MD Anderson, including a promising immunotherapy clinical trial. Through all the treatments, Dixie had to remind herself to be patient.
