A very slow, uneventful movie, nothing really explained and nothing really happens. give it a miss
I was confused a lot of the time as the movie jumps from the present to the past quite a lot but I really enjoyed the ride. Slow and thought provoking with great acting
I watched from beginning to end, and made no sense of the movie. Not having read the book , may have been a hinderance, seeing that book and movie seond meet. I had and have, no idea, what this was meant to portray, and I have no intention of watching again, just to find out. I'm audience, not mind reader.
This film grabs you from the very beginning and keeps you entranced throughout. It is beautifully shot with intriguing character development and an engrossing plot.
I really thought this was a nice story of how love changes over time. Great performance by the daughter. Quiet and beautifully shot.
This movie is the definition of great indie filmmaking. It's rare to find a film that comes together in the way this one does. Without giving away any spoilers, I will say that it is incredibly difficult to catch every little thing - even from the first 5 minutes in, important, subtle things are happening and you're not even aware of it. I watched with 100% concentration and was lucky to catch everything (I think), but I can see why someone would be very disappointed in this movie if they only gave 75% if their focus to the dialogue (as well as physical props, etc.). I can't recommend this movie enough to those that like a challenging drama. I had to take one star away because there were lines that were very hard to hear - even after rewinding a few times to hear them.
Boring nonsense, can't believe rubbish like this is still being made
This was a good one. The score was interesting and the acting was really good. Linus Roache really stood out. I missed some dialogue at the beginning so I was confused near the end but I went back and it all made sense. Definitely requires concentration!
Such a boring movie and unlikable boring mumbling characters.
