Arsenal Military Academy

This series has a place in my heart because: 1. I don't watch Cdrama originally. 2. I'm not into Chinese. Mandarin doesn't soothe my ears; it feels draining to listen to. 3. I rarely finish lengthy series. This one had about 43 episodes, and I watched them all. I knew I wanted to see this series when I watched a clip of "Gu Yanhzen and Xie Xiang" shenanigans on TikTok. Gu was quirky, expressive and had perfect body language. He masticated and left no crumbs. He embodied his character and gave the audience what they wanted to see. You rarely get that on screen. Xie was a brave girl and knew what she wanted. I love all the side characters, especially Shen Junshan (he's very handsome and the opposite of Gu), Huang Song (his naivety con dey pepper me most times), Qu Manting (sabi talk like parrot), Jin Jin, and Zhu Yanlin. Everyone brought their A game. It was amazing to see. 8/10
