في عيد ميلاده التاسع، يتلقى الصبي (أومري) عديدا من الهدايا، من ضمنهما هديتان تبدوان أقل أهمية وقيمة من الهدايا الأخرى، خزانة قديمة من شقيقه، وشخصية الهندي المصنوع من البلاستيك من أحد أفضل أصدقائه، ولكن الأمور ليست كما تبدو، فتلك الهديتان، على عكس مظهريهما، لهما أهمية خاصة وشديدة؛ إذ إنهما تتحولان بفعل السحر إلى أكبر من مظهريهما البسيط بكثير.
