في فرنسا في القرن التاسع عشر، يسافر مصاص الدماء الشاب (نوي) إلى باريس بحثًا عن كتاب "فانيتاس"، الذي يُقال إنه قادر على إطلاق لعنة على جميع مصاصي الدماء. لكنه يجد نفسه متورطًا في حادثة غريبة، ويقابل خلال رحلته (فانيتاس) شخصيًا.
