في عهدٍ بعيدٍ للغاية كانت هناك فتاةٌ جميلةٌ يدق قلبها بالحب والنقاء والبراءة، تلك الفتاة كانت تُدعى ماليفسنت (أنجيلينا جولي). تلك الفتاة كانت تعيش في مملكتها بسلامٍ ،لكن في يومٍ من الأيام جاءت جماعةٌ من الغزاة وهددوا أمن وسلام المملكة. هبت ماليفسنت بقوةٍ وجبروتٍ من أجل حماية مملكتها ووطنها، لكن للأسف طعنتها سكين الخيانة الغادرة، وتم تدمير مملكتها ومعها تحول قلبها إلى حجر. وسعيًا وراء الانتقام ألقت ماليفسنت لعنتها على الملك الغازي ونسله من بعده، وبالتالي حلت لعنتها على الأميرة أرورا (إيلي فانينج).
