After a painful breakup, Ben, an art student, develops insomnia and imagines he can stop time, using those moments to observe the world and express himself through art. The film's greatest strengths are its beautiful cinematography, dreamlike atmosphere, and emotional portrayal of loneliness and moving on. However, it has flaws. It often idealizes female beauty through the male gaze, some artistic success feels unrealistic, and parts of the narration try too hard to sound profound. Even so, dismissing it as "just nudity" ignores its exploration of grief, creativity, and personal growth. It's not a masterpiece, but it's also far from empty. For viewers who enjoy slow, reflective films with strong visuals, Cashback remains a flawed yet memorable experience. Rating: 8/10.
